Your Shadow
In the dense mist you walk in rhythm slow,
tracing your footprints my heart beat returns,
out of sight you shape within me your shadow.
When from the horizon northern winds blow,
chilled clouds spread dark shroud on the sun,
in the dense mist you walk in rhythm slow.
Now you saunter in my sunshine meadow,
draped in hues of my dream to an angel you turn,
out of sight you shape within me your shadow.
The spurt of your enticing fragrance I follow,
your elusive trail I won’t ever waver to yearn,
in the dense mist you walk in rhythm slow.
The sunburst sky makes my craving mind glow,
as you stoke my fiery passion in which I burn,
out of sight you shape within me your shadow.
In dim twilight as I traverse life landscape fallow,
the agony of the longing heart you can’t discern.
In the dense mist you walk in rhythm slow,
out of sight you shape within me your shadow.
