Your Health Is Your Wealth
In our world, people seek wealth
travelling to find it in many a place
many ideas are thrown about for chance
taking them up giving it a happy face
Financial gain so many think ace
but gold and silver burn hole in pocket
for the things one buys doesn't satisfy
might as well send it up in a rocket
So what really is real true wealth?
the answer surely is good health
think on your body, how it all works
thousands of cells all so precise in detail
When you're well it's all so amazing
but sometimes it breaks down in pain
causing you to cry help, get me repaired
that mostly works but at times no gain
Eventually, we break down for good
no breath comes out for it's your last
remember all the good health you've had
be grateful for now your die's been cast
('It is health which is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.')
- Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)
