Your Grown-Up Mood

The sky's slate gray It's rained all day Though children can't go out They don't sit around and pout Kids paint, they draw They learn to cook Curl up with their favorite book So, if ever rain dampens your grown-up mood Activate the child in you ~ Don't sit and brood

I am with M.L. on this one. Just add "ditto" to her comment.

True, true, true; we need to "activate the child", within us every day. Great advice and a Fav.

GREAT advice, Gerhson! We always did find things to do on rainy days. Funny how children today complain they are bored. It wasn't always that way. Enjoyed your poem, especially to poignant message. Hugs, Carolyn

You're so right. I don't remember ever being bored until I was about 16. Thanks for the insight, Carolyn. Best wishes, Gershon

Wish I could send of some Chicago's rain your way. We've already got some flooded streets today. :)
