Your Best Days Are Here To Find You
You were once a faint light fighting stormy clouds
You stood alone in innocence among a rowdy crowd
Watched in disbelief as things turned upside down
But you walked away, knowing destiny is waiting to be found
You held a brave face for your child
The fray of emotions inside you didn't fade your smile
Your strength was not how you were belligerent
Your strength was in how you took in the pain
Suffocated it inside you and carried a brave face
Kept your feet on your God-given place
Whatever was stolen, broken or lost?
Didn’t take away the faith you treasured the most
Your wonderful, was not escaping sadness
Your wonderful, was defeating its badness
Your best days are not behind you
Your best days are here to find you
(Dedicated to my cousin based on her story)
