You Still Need Me

Even though you’re grown You’re still right by my side Struggling to be independent A terrifying bumpy ride I remember that little girl With braces and pony tails Who clung onto her mother Memorizing every single detail You may look grown on the outside But on the inside I still can see That precious innocent child Who’s still fighting to be free Coming to me frequently In need of guidance and advice Not quite financially stable Your timing always precise You still need me, don’t you? Although you think you’re grown My daughter I’ll always help you Never will you be alone © Stacy Lynn Stiles
