You Need Me
My oasis mind dries in the desert,
clouds quenching my desire don’t come low
to make your shadow spread on my heart,
as the grains of my yearning the sandstorm blows.
You’re the verdant tree in the fawn forest,
the graceful branches stretch to the serene sky.
For a while in your alluring shade I want to rest,
hear the song of the dancing leaves as they fly.
The river of longing in my abandoned valley is lost,
from the flowers withering in life’s landscape fallow,
I preserve some, the ones you like the most,
until you come enticed through the rainbow.
I give you the flowers, you smile with glee,
and it is clear that you need me.
