You Did This To Me
When the blood begins to boil,
And life begins to change,
And you are now asking the question,
Of why I’m acting strange,
And you begin to close your eyes,
In hopes that then you can see…
Just remember one thing….
You did this to me.
When you rise up from the ground,
Declaring you will take no more,
And you stand on your own two feet,
Like you’re never stood before…
And you’ve given your best in everything,
And you’ve been all you can be,
Think back to what I said….
You did this to me.
The ink flowing from my pen,
States the words coming from my head,
The thoughts of my heart are enigmatic.
One day, soft and sweet,
The next, cold and dead.
So now, I hope that you can see….
The poetic enigma is now free.
You did this to me.
