Triolet
The triolet is an eight-line French form poem with two refrains.
The rhyme scheme is AB aA ab AB. (A and B are repeating refrains.)
A poetic form consisting of only 8 lines.
Within a Triolet, the 1st, 4th, & 7th lines
repeat, and the 2nd and 8th lines do as well.
Each line should be 8 syllables in length
An intertwining triolet.
Combining two or more triolets linked by repeating lines. The sixth line of the first refrain forms the first line of the next refrain and so on.
Where could I find another you,
in all the world, you are unique?
Sweet angel, what I say is true,
where could I find another you?
Born this day, you made your debut
with your mom's smile and dad's physique.
Where could I find another you,
in all the world, you are unique?
With your mom's smile and dad's physique,
there's nothing more precious than you.
My heart insists on one more peak,
with your mom's smile and dad's physique.
Laying kisses upon your cheek,
I tiptoe softly out of view.
With your mom's smile and dad's physique,
there's nothing more precious than you.
