You shined your light into my thoughts Illuminating hope and faith Showing me the joy found in grace Revealing the love abiding With praise that comes from the heart And prayers that free the soul With kindness that lets me know You are alive within my soul You lit up the shadows of my heart With healing, revealing the worst Clearing away the debris of doubt And cleaning me in a way That made me feel I should shout With the wonder that came When you emptied my spirit Of all the darkness and damage You flashed a brilliance into my depths Revealing the need there The anxiety and regret, the neglect That had left me with a dreary Lifeless sadness, gloomy emptiness In need of your gentle compassion The breath of your mercy Reassuring and clarifying my yearnings You washed my passions in hues Of vibrant appreciation Thanks for the many ways You taught me to give my very best With no thought for the gift Only thinking of the glory that comes From giving without expectation Living without gratification Loving without anticipation For any true gift is meaningless Without the promise That the gift is as gracious As a psalm for the one Who is in need and should heed God’s plea for redemption That comes from His free gift You, sweet Jesus, are the way to see Faith become a living, breathing Belief that plants an everlasting seed Into those souls who agree God’s word is the truth that assures Love from above pours down Into the hearts and souls who desire To follow Him throughout all time

Such a great piece Gina, with great imagery and insightful thought too. I love the image pic, sadly that shows too often what people do or not with their Bibles. Hope you've had a lovely weekend, Blessings always, Gordon
