You Are Not Defined By- Another's Perception
You once told that I was beautiful
Later on,after kids and weight gain
Your perception of me began to alter
You didn't look at me with loving eyes
I had changed in your eyes…….
You said I had repulsed you
For years I put up with your abuse
Your vicious words had hurt me deeply
I believed your every word, I loved you so
I fell into a deep dark world of depression
But one day I had somehow seen the light
I realized that beauty comes from within
You had put me in a prison of abuse
You were a warden of pain and insult
I am no longer your prisoner
Your perception of me doesn't matter
Only mines and mines alone does
Your hurtful words can not and will not
Define me because I am now totally free
