You Ain'T No Boss of Me

Pay attention Missy
Things are gonna change
You ain't gonna like it
It's gonna seem real strange.

"Honey-do" days are over
Sparks are gonna fly
I know that you won't wanna change
But by God you better try!

I'm gonna put my foot down
Cause I got feelin's too
I'll tell you now exactly what
I will or will not do!

I surely ain't a door mat
and you're so bossy and so mean
I don't know who you think you are
Her Majesty - the Queen?

You better pay attention
This is how it's gonna be
Starting now there'll be one boss
and that one boss is me!

BUZZ - BUZZ, What's that sound?
The alarm clock - Loud and Clear
I guess my "Nightmare's" over
I'll go and make your breakfast, Dear!

Only in your dreams, Ralph. Gave me quite a chuckle as I really thought you were laying down the law. Best to you, Diane

Aww, too bad it was a dream, Ralph. I've seen men carrying "honey do" lists, so I can appreciate the wild humor in this poem. Maybe you should make a "honey do" list for your wife? That might get your point across, but only if she has a sense of humor. Great poem! Love, Carolyn
