Notes About The Poem

You:

Relinquished are the days of yesteryear,
Thus for you, I shall cry just one more tear,
I know in my heart that our love was true,
Leaving you was the hardest thing to do.

So in my heart, you will always remain,
But I refuse to live a life of pain,
Hence like the dew that leaves the morning grass,
I'll do my best to not live in the past.

Forever grateful for the time we shared,
It was so obvious the way you cared,
Moving on from here will not be easy,
Memories of you will remain to be.

The biggest part of me for all my days,
You have shaped my life and my very ways.
