You, My Love, My Truth

I waited for you through a score of lifetimes I kept you close always and deep within my mind In a hope that I would never lose and I traced the residue of your light As I search in a hope that I may find you, once again. I knew that within all the madness that life sometimes brings with it If I stay still in mind and focus upon you That the universe will help me trace your footsteps Will help me source your journey To allow and guide me back to your heart and love. In those times when I had known despair When I though I had lost you I shut my eyes and would dream And there you were right there With those eyes and that smiled reminding me that you cared And in pushing my way through the cross of souls that hindered my progress And offered me something less I resisted all because of you, because you are my only truth And I can only be with you For your love means everything to me And manifests in my dreams and memories So how can I let go? When you're always there Residing in my heat and soul. Now I've found you I can only hope That you remember me over all these past lives Have I remained in your dreams and me memories too? Am I also your truth? I've sacrificed so much for you I just hope you still love me too I've searched so long to find you I've searched so long to find the truth And now standing here in front of you I am vulnerable because its all down to you You now will be the one to choose If there's a future for me and you.
