Yesterday's Tears
Yesterdays tears
I've tried so hard to make the best of life,
in spite of the challenging highs and lows,
the highs, made me happy to be alive,
the lows, were a mental and body blow
Childhood's supposed to be a happy time,
where children learn to feel safe and secure,
at least I learned about God's love sublime,
and for human frailties there's a cure
I've lived a life full of torture and pain,
but, in between there's been blessings and bliss,
contrasting emotions from which I've gained,
a new perspective when I reminisce.
I've learned so much from so-called wasted years
I've cast aside, all of yesterdays tears.
