Yesterday
All that was said and done is now in the past
As so with the setting sun it never really last
Nothing can be taken back, done another way
And all that you lacked is now on full display
But you needn't worry upon any such regret
Mistakes you bury not the lessons they beget
You shouldn't look behind in so moving ahead
The past doesn't bind but teaches us instead
Yesterday isn't here and is never coming back
Don't hold him dear in the things you lacked
Yesterday has no power unless you concede
For this is now your hour of you this I plead
The Lord has given today not to look back
But to find His Way in getting back on track
Give Him yesterday living today for His sake
For in this I pray that one will finally awake
James 5:20
Let him know,
that he which converteth the sinner
from the error of his way
shall save a soul from death,
and shall hide a multitude of sins.
