Yes, You'Ve Served Your Time
He's happy in his chair
The window over there
Let's him see the blue of sky
Let's him see the green of field
The quiet in his mind
Let's him hear the birdsong live
He's happy in his chair
He doesn't see you standing there
He doesn't see into your eyes
He's in a place he calls 'crow flies'
Where every morning has soft blue skies
Every crow call soothes his mind
He's happy in his chair
He may spend hours looking at the air
He may follow clouds over the fields
To him what you are is not real
Don't try to apologise
You're not even in his cries
You don't exist in his broken mind
He's happy in his chair
He blocks out the pain of being there
He blocks out the reason why you broke his little mind
When you left him in a field, helpless, alone and in such need.
The baby cries they heard then found
A poor little wretch crying on the ground
The crows around who made unusual sounds
To catch the people walking by, they jumped up and down.
He's happy in his chair
He's happy you're not there
He can't understand why wild animals seemed to care that his mother was not there!
A little baby who's hurtful cries made the crows act to save his life!!
They found your boy looking up to the sky,
All cried out with staring eyes, dumb and mute for years - as cold as ice.
We stop his nightmares with recorded crow cries!
They found your note stating your reasons for why?
You gave birth to this innocent young life!
And yes, you've served your time!
Yes.....you've served your time?
And yes....you apologise but that don't heal his mind!
That don't stop his cries, the loneliness of his life
For that what remedies and reasons can you provide?
I'll stand in front of you
I'll not let you get through
I'll use force if you force me too
You will hear why.........
Reasons you ask, you cry?
The reasons why we all despise?
The fact that you're breathing shows us that God doesn't hear our cries
The reason why I could end your life ............................................................................................
.....................................................................?
You left him there to die.
