Yashodhara - Buddha

A shadow dims Yashodhara's vibrant gaze, "My love," she murmurs, "lost in wisdom's maze. A prince you were, with riches at your hand, Yet craved a truth beyond this earthly land.” "A deeper purpose," Buddha's voice replies, "A yearning for the light in veiled disguise. The soul, a bird in a gilded cage confined, Seeks boundless skies, a peace for heart and mind.” "But pleasures beckon, whispers of life missed, " Yashodhara sighs, a teardrop dims her sight. "Why chase such shadows, leave behind your vow? A king's duty calls, a crown upon your brow.” "The crown, a burden," Buddha softly speaks, "True wealth lies not in what the kingdom seeks. We dance in shadows, slaves to blind desire, Burning in flames, a soul's consuming fire.” "A path awaits," his voice a gentle stream, "To break the chains, and chase a different dream. A lotus blooms, untouched by worldly strife, An awakened life, a refuge from this life.” "A perilous quest," Yashodhara implores, "The world's a web, where sorrow bites and roars. Can such escape exist, a haven from the storm? Or just a whisper, keeping love forlorn?” A smile graces Buddha's lips so wise, "Beneath the surface, truth forever lies. Like a hidden treasure, waiting to be known, This path I walk, to find a peace our own.” Love's ember glows, a silent, steady flame, "Though shadows linger, I'll whisper back your name. To find your light," Yashodhara softly sighs, "My Buddha walks, beneath the boundless skies.”
