Notes About The Poem

wrong

Have you ever been wrong?
I was wrong.
Ugly, smugly wrong.
Psephologically wrong.
Hit the iceberg,
smoking’s good for you,
the treaty of Versailles,
left on red,
Copernicus, Aristotle, Custer,
wrong.
I’m not claiming an excuse,
wrong.
It wasn’t you,
it was me,
wrong.
Just fricking
kiss a frog
wrong.
Wrong all along,
wrong about the world,
reevaluate me wrong,
wrong, wrong, wrong.
I can admit I was wrong.
Can you forgive me,
can I forgive me,
wrong

(Psephologically wrong) tells the true story behind this one Anais, but such is life, the election was always going to be a toss of a coin and unpredictable, best just to accept your not wrong, but damn disappointed (feels the same though) cheers David

Sure. What's the old saying—you lose some, then you lose more? =]

Anais this is such a heartfelt emotional write. I have been wrong, everyone has been wrong sometime in their lives. He who says they haven't is lying. It takes a person of courage, conviction, and high morals to admit they are wrong. Sometimes it is one of the hardest things to do. Especially if you hurt someone's feelings in the process. It happens, human beings are not perfect. For as many times though that your wrong you are right a whole much more. I hope this is fiction and not reality.

If it is reality you can apologize or move on , but don't beat yourself up. One thing I will say is when I read this piece from you, it was how I felt whenever I have hurt someone in the process of being wrong. I felt like you wrote. I hope this is fiction and your creative mind put it on paper. Very well written with convicting emotion that resonates with all of us. Thank you for sharing, have a nice day...
