thanks for including that poem of mine on your winners' list. I worked long and hard on it though I know it was surely not one of the top poems -you got! I can live with my placement! And it's so interesting to learn you are a doctor. I have not used pendulums of crystal , though I did something similar with a needle and it determined correctly the sex of my unborn child. I think kinetic energy could be useful in certain situations! But of course, probably not totally reliable.

Hi. I worked for a while as a doctor in the German Military (probably why I am a pacifist now) and 20 years a a GP in the NHS (UK). Now I am an unemployed poet ('social mobility?). In terms of your poem, my judging is sooo subjective. But life is contingent and contextual, so had I judged at a different time and in a different place, who knows what had happened? As a doctor, I do think that pendulums have their place, not merely in a philosophical way. Many wishes, Kai
