Write With Their Hearts

Poets write words with their hearts. Listen closely, each verse has a song. When a poem speaks, the music starts. They come together, they belong. If the music fades and no one can hear. Sadness takes its place in their heart. And with time sadness turns to fear. That what makes them a poet, is falling apart. When a poem is finally put out there. And it finds the right someone along the way. It is the greatest gift that reader and poet share. Without this, the poet's music will no longer play.

Thank you Line. Sometimes it surprises me how deeply we feel our own verses.
