Would You, Beloved

If I could touch you, would you back away? If I had a voice to talk, Would you listen to the things have to say? If I had the vision to see, would you look into my eyes? If I couldn’t hear, would you lend me an ear to listen to my cries? What good is having emotions if you don’t know how it feels? Only make-believe that the senses you possess, Are the only thing that’s real If I had a nose, would you let me smell how sweet you are? If I could walk, would you travel with me very far? If I had the will to know what it feels like, Would you be the one to let me explore? If I had the tendency to move like I want to, Would you let me try to do something more? What good is a heart if you don’t realize that it beats? And how good is a soul, when it can’t find a match to meet? But now that you’ve showed me... Somehow I know this must be-- How to love If I had arms, would you let me hold you? If I had a mind, would you teach me things that are true? If I had lips, would you be my first kiss? If I was a shooting arrow, would you be that target or the miss? What good is my purpose if I can’t find my mate? Constantly casting in my line hoping that someone will take the bait If I could sing, would you listen to my song? If I couldn’t behave, would you teach me right from wrong? If I had hands, would you place yours in mine? If I had no dreams, would you let me have more time to shine? What good is love if you don’t know what it feels like? And how good is trying when you’re given three strikes Finally I found in me That you have shown me How to love

This is really a romantic food for thought. Just thought I'd try something different from my norm...hope you enjoy it. Peace be unto you--even as we speak.
