I thought I caught a sunbeam As the leaves started to fall Scattered colors across the stream Then, there was nothing at all I cannot turn back time to retrieve The smiles you gave me, I wore Just questions, words unsaid, as I grieve What were all those missing years for? Not knowing, what you thought then When I was stolen from life with you Now sitting alone, wondering when The truth will shine in skies of blue Waiting for a sunbeam to reach me To settle a lonely, restless, mind As it moves with the currents I see Words waiting to be heard, left behind Heidi Sands *Not for contest 9/17/17

I really enjoyed reading this poem the first time you posted it, and reading it again this afternoon made me pray for you and the releasing of peace and understanding for you! I have missed seeing you here on the Soup! It's nice to see you here today! This poem is such an illustrious piece, Great Work!!
