Words Heart Rendered

Words Heart Rendered

What is a poet's soul?
 love and passion for a start
 torment and misery from a deep dark abyss;
 imagination stolen from the stars, inspiration's fine art
 and true dedication high upon heaven's first list!

Or is it words heart rendered?
 sweet beams of mornings light, cast forth without fight
 bouncing against dark forests of deadly trees;
 into thickened weathered bark wrapped so very tight
 morphing into angels upon rare beauty's pleas!

What is a poet's way?
 simple arrows slung from gleaming bows
 words flying within mystical , egotistical softened clouds;
 tales of life's beauty, infinity and bright glittering shows
 shadows eating mysteries wrapped in fattened rainbow shrouds!

Or is it sad pains echoing?
 within a golden ring chiming crystal bell
 chills and thrills pouring in cold hardened purple rain
 cracks springing across space and time into mind's hardy shell
 colors cast into running waters making such emotional stains!

what is the poet's purpose....outside of making the heart feel the opposite of worthless....what is the poet's muse....a woman's eyes, a man's hands, a child's smile, possibly, because there is nothing I won't use....what is the poet's creed....attempting to write a world where we all will succeed....very profound my friend....
