Whispers from the Void
I am lost in a haze of fear,
As your words flow from my eyes,
Inflicting sharp pain in my fragile heart,
While you remain distant and indifferent.
You sit beside me,
I can feel the shape of your presence,
Yet I am engulfed in solitude,
Alone in a space filled with shadows.
What do you name this strange paradox,
When you are near but never truly mine?
I reach out, but you elude me,
Lost in the emptiness of your absence.
Love should fill every home with light,
Yet a flickering false glow haunts my door.
“Diwali” graces our dwelling,
But I wear a weary, sorrowful smile,
Tired of the charade,
Exhausted from feigning cheer.
