Wondering What I Am
What I am holding in my heart
Persistently tears my mind apart.
What I am envisioning holding in my hand
Constantly the vision slips away like sand.
What I am holding in my grasp
May someday leave my voice in a rasp.
What I am holding in my mind
May be a reserved seating for you to find.
What I am hoping for in my dreams,
That dinner leads to dessert to tearing our seams.
What I am afraid of lately in my life,
That if you condemn me, despite knowing my strife.
What I am feeling in my chest:
A certain calmness, enough to rest.
What I imagine of laying upon yours:
A certain peace, no more discourse.
