Woke Up and Welcomed
Woke Up and Welcomed
While I saw a mother willow tree
How far away would her babies be
Up or down river maybe close by
All tucked away because she is shy.
Over long river limbs like to suspend
And swaying around from end to end
Lower limbs they more like to sway
Higher upper ones a lot less may.
Seems so pleasant when sun sets
Then that night darkness tree met
She slept night through and away
Woke and welcomed next new day.
