Within My Garden Walls

There thrives within my garden walls an enchanting bloom that enthralls where this fragrant beauty grows Amidst its sweet scent, all others pale Sentiments of love will always prevail as morning dew clings to the rose

What a beautiful poem, Jenna, beautiful in it's simplicity. Nicely penned my friend. John

The rose sure takes some beating. We cut them for indoors and even after they’ve wilted they’re like fresh pot pouri. Always feel chuffed when a cutting takes. Lovely write, Jenna. Terry

Oh, I agree, Terry. I used to love gardening, but in an apartment I'm limited to ivy and those who grow by indirect window light. I agree that we cut their beauty for our joy. Seems a shame.

Beautiful words and picture Jenna, if that is your garden wall I’m not surprised you are enthralled at all… Belle

Sorrowfully, I no longer have a garden, Belle. I now live in an apartment and can only grow indoor plants. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Being almost November I am surrounded by the fragrant narcissus. But the rose will always be a favourite.

Well I'm inclined to agree Jenna, a beautiful flower without a doubt and a delight to catch the scent of it. Hope your day has gone well. Tom

My whole weekend is lovely, Tom. Great weather and great food. I've been cooking, so my larder is full. Hope your home improvement projects are complete. Thanks for the visit.

Ah, nothing so beautiful, nor smells as sweet, as a red, red rose. Nice writing, Jenna. Love the way you rhymed it, too.

Thanks. Thought I'd try something a different on the rhyme scheme... and it's NOT for a contest :)
