Witch and Father Christmas

Witch was irritated with November; it came way too soon. She approached the sun, the stars, the tidal waves and the moon. Can we get it to slow down? I want October to last more than thirty-one days. We can ponder it said the sun, but I cannot guarantee we can change her ways. So she found Father Christmas who was irritated about October’s short length. We need it to be just a bit longer, he said, so the two began to think. They had lots of ideas but were not sure who to give them too. Luckily, they had each other to feed off of, so they could stay grouchy and blue.
