He Wished Upon a Star
The sun shone upon him
As he wished all day long
Thought odds were grim
He'd sing that same song
He lost his faith in all
Still held on to some hope
One day love would call
He'd find a way to cope
Held onto all his sorrow
Refused to let it go
But he never had to borrow
A love for him did grow
She sent it each twilight
Upon the gentle breeze
Days it shown so bright
She sent it with an ease
Asking nothing in return
Wished only to lift his heart
He became her one concern
For a true love to be a part
