Here in my head, the chaos whirls -
Thoughtful impulse rips and swirls,
Black and white, from grays to red,
The chaos swirls, here in my head.
The world burns fast despite our aim
To check its spin and cool its flame,
And all the wisdom we've amassed,
Despite our aim, the world spins fast.
We bring to task the things we learn,
Some bridges built, while others burn ...
Each lesson learned that we unmask,
The things we learn we bring to task.
My spinning mind I've learned to slow,
Through fails and triumphs, as I grow,
And midst these lessons, come to find,
I've learned to slow my spinning mind.
Through self-control we give life peace,
And strive to make the madness cease -
To suffuse this order through our soul,
We give life peace through self-control.
