Winter's Term

Jewels from silver and white topaz storms adorn, flawlessly winterize and brilliantly transform, as frozen bling of delight and also concern control our lives during winter's vivacious term.

Beautiful, CayCay! I can see the ice covered trees sparkling in the sunlight like the "bling" of diamonds. Love it. Congrats on your placement in the contest.

What a great entry for his contest, Caycay. You selected very well. I would love to give my very best, but I hate the idea of reading through over 100 poems. I found one after 20 and it may have to do. haha!! Let me know if you wrote recently a poem that you are dying for me to see. I hate if I'm missing out on poems that are extra special to you

I have only experienced really cold snowy winters as a young child in England but for most of my life have lived in Africa, where winters are mild - maximum minus 3 (centigrade) where we live - sometimes I try to imagine living in places where it goes to minus 40 or 50 (farenheit) - I would enjoy it for a holiday but love our winters here which in the middle of winter can have a 19 degrees (centigrade). Your poem is a gem CayCay, almost like a holiday for me. Hugs, Jenny.
