Today we experienced our first winter storm. The polar vortex rumbled its way towards Texas and in its wake, it left us with snow and ice, hence the inspiration for this poem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ it falls, slides with joy a dream? longed for, urged, wished. winter’s first present.
