Violette Poetry

Invented by Viola Gardener. It is stanzaic, rhymed, unlimited quatrains, in the aaaB cccB and so on, feminine rhyming scheme (a rhyme that matches two or more syllables, usually at the end of respective lines, in which the final syllable or syllabication are unstressed. B is a linking rhyme from stanza to stanza. Syllables, 6,6,6,4, per line.

When Winter's grip eases Spring sends tepid breezes, but water still freezes and snows renew. On hearing birds singing and Easter bells ringing, icicles stopped clinging; Winter withdrew. A snowman melts away confronting its doomsday, as pools by the walkway bid it adieu. Amidst rivers flooding pussy willows budding and a Flicker's thudding; it’s Spring’s debut. As the green leaves unfold it’s a sight to behold, poised upon Spring’s threshold, life starts anew.
