Winter Time Blues
I've got a bad case of the winter time blues
Somewhere amongst the bitter cold I've lost my muse
Brrr Jack Frost is nipping at my nose
I long to roam barefooted and regain feeling in my toes
I Know Jack Frost can bring lots of fun
Still, I'm ready for winter to be done
Frostbite and hypothermia settling into my heart, my beat I'll soon lose
No spark in sight to reignite my fuse
Jack Frost please bring me some flowers made of ice
I know they won't have a scent but, still would be nice
Perhaps upon them you could sculpt me a butterfly
Help melt my icy heart and lift my spirits high
Maybe the groundhog will come with good news
An early spring I surely could use
Meanwhile, Jack Frost please jumpstart my heart
However, sooner or later my beloved we really must part
Dance with me upon tops of glistening snow covered trees
Help me uncover a warmer reflection beneath an ice-covered lake that you helped freeze
