Winter Tale - a True Story

WINTER TALE
A true story

abandoned pit bull
his owners have moved away
just an empty house
he’s been left outside to freeze
sits and stares in disbelief

the dog doesn’t know
whether to whine or to bark
decided to bark
he would summon his master
and he loudly pleads for hours

some men come at last
they are from the pet control
neighbors have complained
oh pray he’ll be adopted
not unjustly put to sleep

I read this before, it brings tears to my eyes. For every cruel and unjust person, there are hundreds of good people. Too bad animals can't choose their owners. Keep well, and stay safe! Love, Mikki I'm still being hacked into...too bad there's no human control.

The rotten thing is, this guy simply went out of town for a few weeks. The bastard is back now and I really want to give him the finger. Love, daver

I do wonder at the 'madness' of humans as I see it, let me give a different angle for a moment the cartoon character Sylvester the cat, tried his hardest to get Tweety.' so he was bashed, and labelled a bad ole cat.' but that's his 'job description' why do people want un-normal traits from animals, and as mentioned above why get a dog and not have time for it?

I think the dog, a very friendly pooch, got a break. His master treated him badly. Thanks for the read. Love, daver

When we see people abandoning babies in large numbers in eastern countries, this becomes understandable and forgivable.

Abandoning any living thing is pitiful. The conditions in eastern countries is truly tragic. daver

I don't like pitbulls, however this is sad..... I was in love with one years, years ago... I did not abandon him. I had to give him away... I've seen what they can do... but they are also the most loyal dogs ever... I feel bad for this pit bull. I too hope he will be adopted. Praying God he will..maybe you can call In family members to help him.... hugs... Happy May 1st... Linda

This particular pit bull was very friendly. He tried to come across the street for me to pet him, but his master, the SOB, scolded him harshly. Just recently this guy has come back. Possibly he went on a trip and couldn't take the dog with him. Bummer. Love, daver
