Winter Solstice Wonderland---

WINTER SOLSTICE WONDERLAND--- As the world turns spins in the galaxy This done daily, weekly, monthly, yearly Darkness coves universe in canopy Spirit before matter in theory And as the coolness calms the weather change It is the shortest day solstice strange range Hench when Northern Hemisphere midwinter As the sun comes up it runs and shines bright Phenomenon longest night re enter Every lit ray of brilliants do shine light As I look eastward I quench my eyes tight Beautiful winter snow shines on the grounds So marking the days short and the nights so long As I mark this onset made vibrant sounds Thunder lightening yes in winter's prong Time marches on it sings its yearly song Bong goes the bell rings as it pings and pong Solstice that marks the onset of winter Most notably found in December 12/18/18 Winter Wonderland Poetry Contest Sponsored by Emile Pinet
