Winter Passing

Though I'm gone from you, I'm not truly gone, I'm the love of you in earth living on— Under the stone, the body has broken, But the love of you's never unspoken— First Wintertime's snow glints like your eyes do, The fireplace quickly multiplies two; On a hurried wind's draft between your lips, There can you not taste my most telling kiss— As ice on the chimes bids them ring the more, Somehow dead things show you my own closure— Though the mound's grave pales my stardust in pass, I'll love you by earth, this my epitaph— There heaven frozen vision's will to be, For our love's ghost lives with you and with me.

I agree with Ink. This is SO soulful indeed. The last line is a fantastic closer to your lovely sonnet. . by the way, thanks for reading so many of my older poems. I go to see what you have read, and already I barely remember having written those things!!

What a soulful poem this is written in the form of Epitaph! Your kindness will always linger cosmically and beyond with or without you here to remind us. I always love your metaphors! They are creative and clever

No, thank you, dear Kim. I was writing of myself as if my days were numbered- and that my love would still be here. Again, thank you for caring. <3
