Winter Jasmine

Written: January 12, 2025, for contest Sponsored by: Ink Empress Quote by Poet: " Let the tempting appeal of Jasmine ignites your inner ambition and drive for success". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the hopeful shelter  of apathy or amnesia,  people become mournful. It reminds me of the mayhem in Elysian Fields, where masked emotions intertwine I long for faded foliage to flourish as flickering firefly flowers, as our elusive essence mingles with the winding paths of my shagged out spirit. Deed me details on winter Jasmine. . . I can't grasp why the sun has ceased to shine, leaving me languishing in loneliness, chilled and crushed! I feel isolated, weak, and aging, with no one to rely on for solace. Everything around me evolved into a katabatic vacuum expanse. Such sorrow fills my soul, serrated petals lend flowers a lacy cast It will remain with me forever. Wondrous winter jasmine, vividly vibrant against the white wonderland. Petals poised, painting the panorama with sunlit splendor, piercing through the pristine frost. Serene sentinels of secluded sanctuaries, their scent softly shares secrets with the swirling breeze. Below the barren boughs, blooms beyond stance arise a pledge of idyllic petals tucked in a winter cold embrace. Set sparks soaring on this dreary day Chiseled from the cherished celestial shard, Serenading sweet melodies,  seamlessly woven with spicy zest. Glistening green gracefully greets  the winter winds. With a tapering torch, a twisting trail, stitching strands of this sinister web as nimble trees  tenderly touch the bare sky. Impertinent glances, greet each gleaming gaze. Tinkerbell twirls through tangled thickets, lifted as a lark's lovely lullaby. From summer swiftly soared, here revived to witness the wistful wands, with whimsical whisks and the harmonious hum of halcyon hours. Bright and buoyant as fingertips that blaze with brilliance, and such lazarean dreams. Melodically crafted, the manuscript~ made its melodic message clear. Featuring splendidly synchronized steps and streams, frolicsome as fluttering flowers in the fragrant fields. In a sparking snub, winter woeful woe. Guffaw, then, in the night, your gleeful glow! Whistle sprinkled splendidly to stud. This hollow harbinger of gray with glimmering bright, lucent like Pandora promising dawn. Bestow brilliant beacons, from the high, flickering flame. And strut in with warmth in the winter’s whisper.

Dear sotto, this flows not with just descriptive lines and such artistic wordplay but also with so many emotions that made me feel so much as i read this, i especially felt the lines “I can't grasp why the sun has ceased to shine, leaving me languishing in loneliness, chilled and crushed! I feel isolated, weak, and aging, with no one to rely on for solace.” the depth of what you’ve conveyed and also your use of alliterations makes this poem worthy of all the accolades! Congratulations on your well deserved win! Thank you for supporting my contest

A series of colorful images flow in unbroken chain in highly alliterative verse. No body will be able to depict winter jasmines in such profuse imagery. "Wondrous winter jasmine, vividly vibrant against the white wonderland. Petals poised, painting the panorama with sunlit splendor, piercing through the pristine frost." Wow... so wonderful. I am sure, this is going to be placed high. All the Best dear Lasaad.
