Winter Blues
Blurred speech, stalled hands and feet, and wintry winter walking is not a treat. A great place to visit family on a nice retreat.
Hardened and freezing bones, short days or long, life goes on. It was so cold, I could hardly walk. So cold, I could barely talk. So cold, but nothing seemed to halt. So cold, my whole body would shake. My ears ached as if they would break.
New York City never sleeps; Chicago never stops. In dead of winter, State Street consumers continue to shop.
A great place to meet nice people and go to school. I will not live there again, lest I catch Chicago's winter blues. Chilly winters, aching ears, crying eyes, and runny nose. A beautiful place, but what's sad is a Chicago winter cold. Gloves, thermal socks, thermal underwear, and ear muffs' a must.
Walk away from the curb or get splashed with icy snow by street bus. Hop on a train or bus, head to your job in the loop, but never fuss. Those clearing streets are the ones you can really trust.
