Winter - In Absentia

Grass in the meadow so brittle and brown Landscape just as bleak throughout the small town When it's Winter's turn to take the stage It would be polite of Autumn to turn the page

Cute, hide the brown and sorrow beneath a blanket of white until it's springtime again! Where we live in the desert Southwest, we almost never have snow. It is dreary and rather disheartening in my garden. I think I'll invest in metal flowers because there is not much chance of autumn stepping aside for winter in my neck of the....cactus!

BJ,,,hello! In my comment to Gershon.i made a spelling error. The first word should have been,,NOT. Sorry! I live in wine country…no snow. Trees very green here. Meditteranean climate. Only gets hot on occasion. Spring comes early.gorgeous flowers.. I love AZ, cactus, the desert…. water rafting. Love Spring Training, far hotter in AZ.Love Scottsdale, missed going to Sedona! Darn! Oh, those gray skies on those short, brutish winter days. Gloomy stuff alright. ~ Gershon
