No, James, I don't believe the pterodactyls are extinct. I posted a poem not long ago about the pelicans and how they resembled pterodactyls. Then I did some research on the Net and found out there have been sightings of actual full-size pterodactyls by modern-day people (including scientists). As usual, we're on the same page (lol). Wonderful read, dinosaurs are such fascinating creatures. You manage to bring out the grace and power of the winged lizards of old. Love the last line, it leaves me wondering. Katie

Interesting topic. Does your sons share your love for relics. The flying squirrel that doesn't really fly be sails could have some similiar design. Keep writing. Sara
