Wine Country Usa, September I

WINE COUNTRY September first, but not where I live! This week, 111 degrees, outside, you drip like a sieve! But grapes, don’t grow in freezing snow! In wine country, we supply the USA with grapes needed for Vino…. don’t you know? Four-thousand tons of grapes crushed here each year. In a peaceful, multi- cultural, city, room for all, here! A family city, devoted to God, filled with churches. Non-violent, low crime, nobody gets besmirches. I only find hateful comments on-line…. Glad those folk are not neighbors of mine! I thank God for living in a city of peace and sanity. A gift from Him, dusted with all colors of humanity! 9~1~ 2022

I live in a small town on the outskirts of Houston, and it is so peaceful, just how I like it. It has started to cool down, but the mosquitos are out and very hungry.

Wherever we live….whatever our situation….gratitude heals the soul. Grouchiness, jealousy, gets us nowhere. Thank you for reading me, Pangie

Pangie love this writing on wine and the area you live in. I got a chance to go to Northern California and the scenery was gorgeous and the ground produced such fine wines. The Napa Valley I am referring to. I stayed near Chico in a town named Orland. I was gorgeous there and I absolutely loved California. I am sorry to hear of all the regulations and taxes there. A favorite to read. Pangie I recommend a book to read, I think you would love it. The Columbia Restaurant Spanish Cookbook.

Note 2. I just saw your second note that goes into detail, about the book.it would make a great gift for my daughter and her family.my grandson is studying Spanish in a private high school.they may go to Spain next year. He might like the book as well.. you are wonderfully humane, kind and thoughtful. No lightheaded comments from you. I appreciate that kind. I will never understand the rush to dash off one liners, just to have people read us. Pangie xx

I appreciate your recommendation, Michael. How sweet. Since I broke my thigh and knee bones in December, I cannot stand and cook anymore! Nor carry pots and pans. I had to readjust how to nourish myself.Quite a challenge! California, Michael was once a home to free expression of any ideas. No more! If you like Socialism, mandates and a cracked governor move here.))) it’s beauty overun by fascists that ruin the state. All Newsom needs is Hitler’s mustache. No kidding! Napa is lovely, no doubt, Pangie xx

It is about the history of this unique and popular restaurant and all the famous people that attended and their personal stories shared by the owners and their staff. They give incredible recipes in the book and they have a chapter on the great wines and tell the story of how they chose their wine and from what area of Spain. Incredible reading Pangie and humorous too. I think you would enjoy reading...

I never was a wine drinker. I know it is a healthy drink. I was once very long ago a whiskey drinker. But that stopped about 42 years ago. Love this creation by you mt dear friend. Shows your advance in composing these years. A fav.. God bless..

Wine is produced on the East Coast. But cannot outdo the West Coast, due to a climate more friendly to an incredible variety of grapes. But the peace here, Kim is wonderful. Pangie
