Will of My Life-W

I have lived life as it were last day
But learn each day as if I’ll forever.
I would not look at the clock
And I would not my heart lock.
If death is a certainty in life
It is love’s labor’s lost to strive
Then why should one but a death fear
As I understand death is but a slumber.
It is just sleep in eternity to rise
It is the very death that dies.
Life is eternal so I don’t die
To me death is not a dramatic event
It’s neither an end nor deliverance
Life is only a stage, a passage
A brief moment in a cosmic cycle.
I have no regrets of the life I lived
And have lived the life full to its brim
I am ready to go as predestined
Lord, untie the strings to my life.
If today is last day, tomorrow too late
I would say good bye to yesterday.

Live does come full circle and we pass from Earthly life to eternal life. Like you, I have no fear, but there are some regrets. Very good analysis of your last day, Dr. Ram, and I wish you well in the contest! Love, Carolyn

Dr. Ram, this is one of the wisest of the entries on living one's last day as if it were the end (it's for that contest, right/?). I think this one should be very high in the winner's circle. One of your best writings!! LUv, Andrea
