Why Should We

Why should you pretend to stay?
Would you leave memories behind?
To haunt and perish the loving
Strong memories drive people mad

Why should you be nice?
Kindness gives false hope
A warmth that is so cold
Thinking it will remain true

Why should we hold hands?
When sincerely we would not
Pretending to be otherwise
Makes the heart a lonely hunter

Why should we hold for long?
When we cannot be together
Warmth moves hearts close
And it can create strings that cannot lust

Why should we kiss?
When there is no passion to grow
Only to create illusion of memories
That the heart cannot bear in reality

Why should we share the deepest warmth?
When you cannot stay
Deepest warmth create strong memories
That is just too promising

Why should we create these memories anyway?
Memories that cannot be cherished
Regret has no remedy
Only the pain, the past is irreversible

Memories connect
Connection move hearts together
Close hearts spark in love flames
Only burning passion to Kindle from
