Why Do I Need You, Lord

I need you for the purpose that you gave to all your children so that we might find great joy in life from birth until the grave. I need your aid as does all humankind! My life is good; so much you’ve gifted me. Yet knowing that when things go wrong, you care is such a blessing, and a family you’ve given me! I know they will be there no matter what. When there’s pain or sorrow for them or me, I need to call on you. Just to feel great peace about tomorrow is one more thing that I need from you too! Why do I need you, Lord? I think it’s clear. Without you, I’d have no need to be here! Aug. 28, 2017 for the contest of James Edward Lee Sr.

That such power exists to sustain and direct is rather ennobling of faith and acknowledgement. The thought of beings in an unseen and exalted realm fussing over me is either silly or sublime. With this poem you majestically salute the latter.

This is Russell's wife typing in for Russell. He told me to stop and read your poem to him. He said, "Your poem is exquisite(sp?) I really loved hearing it read to me this morning. It is such an inspiration to me to hear your tender words this morning. You have brought joy into my heart by your awesome piece. Thank you for your well wishes Andrea. I have been doing a little better, but still in a lot of pain. I'll be back soon, great work," I liked your poem too Andrea, Emma.

Beautiful prayer and feelings which often come to our mind, when we try to talk to God and find that without God our existence has no meaning. I have placed a new poem today after a long time and would request you to visit that when you are free. l&bw always...Ravindra K Kapoor
