Now days even close neighbours no longer converse.

Break the mold. People are used to mediocrity until a sincere unique individual treats them like a true friend and gets them out of that usual mind set frame of the usual mannerisms of going through the motions and just saying things for the sake of saying and not more. Who knows you might make a new friend? You never know...
