1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV) “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” We weren’t put on this earth to fill our own cups – With all we think of as for our own good, material possessions, Cars and houses, vacations with pay, lifestyles decorated With extravagances … the best wine brewers can make, Drunkenness, gluttonous appetites, greediness and everything That death will take away – in the twinkling of an eye, There you are, in the presence of the One who, when all is said and done, Saves you from the sorrow and tears, erasing every fear – Or leaves you to dwell in the pain, without hope that remains… In the hour of despair, when the shadows reign with their sweltering Darkness, pouring over the heart who has never found – The reason we are here – the reason, so very clear…. We were put on this earth to give, to fill up the cups of those we meet – With grace, forgiveness, kindness and encouragement, All the music that comes from loving, all the singing that stirs up love, All the beauty that finds its way through a verse, all the reasons We are put on this earth… to give from hearts who believe in the One Who is truly our reason for singing each song, our meaning – When everything goes wrong, our seeing when others are blind. We were put here to give love, through serving with our lives… Serving each other the way Jesus taught us when He lived on this earth, Serving those who came for His touch, His blessing, His direction, The joy that comes to those who see Him and believe in Him, Agreeing to serve with all their lives, all their hope and all their faith, All the grace that He’s poured out on the spirit who knows Him, The spirit who shows Him – they love, as He does, with a love that is alive, A love that will survive all grief, all darkness, all distress, all the sorrow. We were put here to serve – with open hearts, open souls With love that continues to grow throughout the years, Through all the troubles and the tears, through the fears That haunt with their dread, the feelings that taunt our belief. We’re here on this earth, to serve each other with love, Love that comes to life inside when we reach out, with faith To the One who took our place, - there on the cross, sacrificing His own life, so that we could come, always one by one – To the grace, the freedom, the love that He had shown, When He gave to everyone… the promise of saving grace, The promise that will never fade – because He lives and He saves… We were put here in this place – so that God could forever embrace, Preparing our hearts for the eternal abode, where we’ll always know He is the light of the heart and soul – He is the answer to every hope He is the reason that I’ll always know – redemption that truly consoles, Joy that is free and sincere – love that is the reason I give, with assurance That, as surely as I live… we were put here to serve the God who is… Forever, eternal, alive in the heart and in heaven, where He’s waiting Preparing a dwelling for those who believe, those who can see… He is always – and He is all I need!

Amen Gina <3 the greatest commandment is to love God, the second as equally important is to love others. A lovely poem my friend, it so reminds me of this verse... "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." ~Matthew 22:37-40~ <3
