Who’s on the Cross

And why did he die

Who's that Man who caste out demons 

Brought Lazarus alive 


What name did you say

I’m a little deaf today


Who rode a donkey 

Palm Sunday in Jerusalem

And was greeted as the King

By the people of Israel


Who did you say

Say it louder I can't hear


Who's the son of God 

Born in Bethlehem

To whom the Virgin Mary

Angel Gabriel was sent


What did you say

Is JESUS here today...

...you know, there are so many beautiful souls that existed 'for us'- but He did really exist. He really ("really" bold, underscore) did go through all of that 'for us'. There is too much factual history for His "journey" to be ignored or scoffed at - I can't imagine Trump, or Obama, or Putin or any other lesser individual with high "political" ambitions to place themselves in a position similar to Jesus who went through all that he did just to prove that he "LOVED" and "BELIEVED" in us all that much ...His story is "THE STORY"...whether He was divinely resurrected, or saved by His family and friends and moved on to live His life out in love with family around Him. His story is "THE STORY". He believed so much in 'us', he went through all of that for 'us'. Surely we could return it tenfold to Him. Look at 'our' world today, we are failing his cause abysmally. His cause is about the power of LOVE. No wimpish reply from me. Beautiful poem, as always Arturo. L

i'm just a mere painful mortal. I can't stand insipid commentary on profound poems though...I guess that puts me in the ... "god here she goes again" category....must read the other poems I've missed from you over the past few months. I am so far from powerful, it is tragic - I'll settle for ... "she can tell a good story" and on with the next one...and "THE STORY" is the only story worth immortally publishing.

I like the refrain a lot -- as that's our job, to proclaim the Lord's Name here in this world. Muslims, Jews, Christians and others may have different ideas about the exact name of the Deity, but I think we can all agree that infusing our lives with Godliness and holiness is what gives our lives purpose and direction.
