Whoops

Shivering in shadows Severed from the saving grace of truth Darkness lingers clutching In corners deep and dank Luringly with half truths In deeper holes of rank Was it so bad to cast a slur To pose a threat that wasn't there To cause a group of hopeful players to kneel and beg in soulful prayers What harm could come from causing guilt To herd them all like willing sheep Believing heaven waits to tilt And judge them for their souls to keep Shivering in shadows Or am I getting warmer?

Much to think about here. Nice use of alliteration. Yes, "saving grace of truth." What a wonderful thought. Intersting title. Keep on writing! Karen
