Who Needs the Sunrise

~ A crescent moon was smiling as I drove along my way Awaiting on the sunrise to illuminate my day It seemed so very happy in the early morning night Yet still I sought that orange glow to make the day seem right It hung above me grinning so much joy was shining down When very soon I noticed I no longer wore a frown It’s then that I decided after just a little while I thought, who needs the sunrise my day started with a smile ~

Perfect ~ nothing like a crescent moon to bring on a smile. Guess it wanted a piece of your beautiful morning poesy, too ;)

It may have been ~ I was up early eagerly looking forward to a piece of your writing, then dozed back off to sleep ;) If only I could bring that kind of happiness to another's day ~

Thank you for allowing me to relive that morning sky. If it was anything like my sky. The crescent moon stood alone in the center of an ebony sky. The horizon was a beautiful shade of orange. The contrast against the black with the moon right above was breathtaking like your poem my friend. I love this and the smiles it brings :) hugs
